Higher Education is now a very large marketplace. Students and employers cannot easily distinguish between good and bad higher education institutions. To help in this quest, we have accreditation. In the United States there is regional accreditation (for entire universities) and specialized accreditation (for specific colleges or programs). These same agencies are also accrediting universities and programs around the world. I am very interested in the evolution of accreditation at both levels.
